...the origin of "Crafties" is in Switzerland. During a family visit in Appenzell (Switzerland) I saw "beer chips" in a brewery and of course I tried them. These "beer chips" were not conventional chips, but a very special potato snack that is made in its own way. This snack also tasted correspondingly good. Impressed by the taste and the look, I thought I could try it. That was the starting signal for a long and intensive series of tests to produce this "potato snack". It took about 18 months in a row until we finally finished our recipe for crafties. It was particularly important to me that "crafties" are not baked in fat "Of course that was a huge challenge. In the end we managed to produce a potato sack that is fat-free and made with regional ingredients without artificial flavors.
